Sustainability Partners

BMD is proud to partner with oil producers (upstream & midstream) and compression companies as they work towards being carbon neutral. BMD's "patent pending" packing design can drastically reduce fugitive emissions. Its long life reduces man-hours spent on maintenance and monitoring. BMD approached 160 tons of carbon emissions reduction in 2024. Our Goal for 2025 is to exceed 170 tons. BMD is excited to help both new and existing customers achieve their carbon emissions reduction goals. BMD's standard packing is now certified to ISO standard 15848, an internationally recognized standard for valve fugitive emissions. The packing passed the highest cycle category under the lowest leakage threshold. BMD is excited to help both new and existing customers achieve their carbon emissions reduction goals and want to welcome our Sustainability Partners.

Environmental Benefits from BMD’s Operations

Fugitive emission packing is crucial because it helps prevent leaks of harmful gases and liquids from industrial equipment, minimizing environmental damage, improving workplace safety, and reducing operational costs. Effectively managing these emissions is vital for environmental sustainability, public health, and industry viability.

Leak and Emission Reduction

BMD’s products feature a patent-pending packing design that significantly reduces fugitive emissions such as gas leaks and other unintended release of fluids or vapors. This has real environmental and safety benefits by limiting greenhouse gases and hazardous substance escape from systems. Avoiding such leaks also reduces maintenance needs and helps customers meet carbon emission reduction goals—a direct contribution to lower environmental impact.

Efficiency-Driven Design

Their valves and controls are engineered for efficiency and reliability, optimizing system performance. Better flow control leads to more efficient energy usage in industrial systems, which translates to reduced energy waste and emissions.

ISO Certification & Environmental Responsibility

BMD is explicitly described as ISO certified (likely ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 based on context), indicating adherence to international standards for quality management and environmental management systems. This reflects a proactive corporate approach to environmental and operational excellence
